Legal notice (Aviso Legal)

This website is owned and operated by GCS Education S.L., trading as Open Learning International School, a company registered in Spain, in accordance with Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE). Open Learning is a bilingual day school (ages 4–18) in Benitachell, Alicante. Use of this website implies acceptance of this notice. Spanish law applies and any dispute falls under the courts of Alicante.

Privacy (data protection)

We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data-protection law (LOPDGDD). Information you send through the contact or admissions form, or by email — your name, email and message — is used only to answer your enquiry and manage admissions. We do not sell or share it with third parties, and we keep it no longer than necessary. You may request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@gcs-open.com.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising cookies or cookies from other companies. Only the technical cookies needed for the site to function and to remember your language choice may be set, and, if you agree, a visitor number for our own statistics (see below).

Visitor statistics

We count visits to this website ourselves, on our own server, so that we know which pages are used and can improve the site. We record which pages are viewed, the country (worked out from your internet address, which we do not store), the type of device and browser, the screen size, the language, where you came from and how quickly the pages load. In the Fun Zone we also count which games are played, which answers are chosen and how far players get, without knowing who is playing. Within one visit, a random number in your browser tab links the pages of that visit; it is deleted when you close the tab. We do not use a tracking cookie for this, we do not share these figures with anyone and we keep them for five years.

If you choose 'Yes, fine' in the notice, we also keep a random visitor number in your browser until you change your choice or clear your browser data. It shows us whether someone comes back and how often, without knowing who they are. The number is not used for anything else and is not linked to any other data, such as push messages. You can change your choice at any time through 'Cookie settings' at the bottom of every page. If you choose 'No thanks', we ask again after two months.
